Area 140- Antelope- Colorado - SWAreas

I’ve acquired a buck pronghorn tag for area 140- Colorado, in the leftover option. Only areas open seem to be a couple of State Wildlife Areas, the rest is Private Ranches. Has anyone hunted this area ? I’m starting with zero information. Any information would be appreciated!! Thanks !

What made you buy that tag when there is essentially no public land to hunt? I checked onx and I see one swa that doesn’t look like antelope habitat. All other stl are not open to hunting. My conclusion is that you would need private land access secured or it wouldn’t be worth the drive.

I talked to the CPW & they said it was a long shot at best . Only 1!tag left-‘just a $43 loss.
If they Game Wardens in that unit say forget it, I will . Maps show 90 % private, so I’m sure you are right. Thanks for your input !
