Baiting in Utah

So I drew a summer season San Juan tag, but in the regs it says no metal, plastic, porcelain, cardboard, glass or paper containers. Anyone ever baited this way? Any pointers on how to set up the bait without any kind of container to put it in?

Build a log crib to direct the bear into a good shooting angle. Cover ithe bait with logs to keep the elk and small game off the bait. The bait can lay right on the ground in a pile.

I also put a long log or pole across the front of the crib. Keeps the bread and loose bait from getting too scattered, and makes the bear step over it, causing him to expose more of the chest area when the leg comes forward.
