Barbwire Buck

Shot this buck during the 2nd season in Colorado. The bucks were rutting pretty hot and found this guy with some does and a couple of small bucks. Didn't know he had a bunch of barbwire until I approached him to field dress. Have an elk tag coming up soon to fill. Hope all of you are having a great Thanksgiving Holiday.

Another picture to show just how much he had the wire wrapped around his antler. Tough ole dude to pull this off a fence and not break off the antler. Going to leave some of the wire on - should make an interesting wall mount.

Pretty cool. I had a couple little guys try to tear my fence down yesterday. I’m not sure how they didn’t get tangled.

I would also leave the wire on him. I just need to find a 200" buck that gets tied up in some wire the day before the season opens so I have confidence he will be there the next morning when I can hunt.
