Bear hunting non resident questions

I plan on going to northern Idaho this spring to hunt black bear and making a scouting trip or two before I go. I’m not looking for anyone’s specific spot to go or anything. Just looking for some pointers for a spot and stalk hunt. Maybe general areas to start at and I can find more specific spots on my own. Thanks for any help you can give.

One thing Idaho has is plenty of bears. Go just about anywhere there is forest and a creek, you'll find em.

Thanks for the help. I guess my other question is for the most part are the areas pretty conducive to spot and stay hunting?
