Yes, you need to budget in around $1500 for a good one. Prices will be scattered from $180-240 per foot. The days of $600-800 rugs is long gone. Look at the work you are getting from them, not just a picture but some actual samples. Many different things come into play here. Open/closed mouth, single or double felt, padded or finished full back. Some like D-rings for hanging, some don't. Tanning is $200, parts are 200, and material is 200. All the rest is in the craftsmanship and details. Do you want a "house painter", or an artist??
