Awesome place to put in a group of snares this winter.
Get me a black phase one.

Awesome photos. What state are you located in Horsecreek? Wyoming? If so, if wolf hunting legal in your area?

I assume those photos are all from his home state of Wyoming Hawkeye. Wolves have an open season on the west side of the state that is controlled with licenses required. The rest of the state you can shoot them on sight with nothing required other than to notify the G&F of the kill.

That was my thought as well...My dad thinks its a black bear but I'm thinking Grizz. That top bear is a decent sized sow. Ive got a ton of video of her and her cub. That other bear is a tank if its a black bear!

I'm going to go along with your Dad in that I also think it's a big blackie. Hard to say for sure though from that rear angle when you can't see his head or if he has that characteristic hump of a grizz.

That Ain't No Grizzly!

But Them Do look Like BIG COYOTES!:D

So You're Not Down Here Stirrin the Elk up HorseCreek?

He walked thru camp last year and didn't bother us or the horses. He?s a young boar. I'm hoping he stays quiet and uninterested in us and the few others that pack in here.

I stirred them up plenty last week Bess. The wind, rain, hail, and full moon didn't help my cause.

The elk are more than thriving in this area. They've changed their behavior over the years but the elk numbers are great.

Just to add a little to what Horse Creek already said about the elk population in that area...

Last year I killed a cow in the evening within 300 yards of where the pack was that morning. We killed wolves in the morning and elk in the evening! It was an epic day to say the least!!!

Funniest sh!t I have heard in a while.

>All are going up the trail!
>

This is just my observation from hunting in there for so many years before the wolves til now.
They use this trail heading north, make a big loop and repeat every week or so. They are getting real predictable.?
