Bench Rest Fill - Make it Lighter

I use a bench rest bag to shoot as accurate as I can to 400-500 yards (shooting prone). I use a bipod, but use the rest under the rear stock for added stabilization, which works very well. I filled the rest with dehydrated beans. Here is the problem...I would like to pack the rest when I go hunting, but it is heavy to hike with. Has anyone tried different filling products to lighten the weight? I thought of replacing half of the beans with ping ping balls, but thought I'd ask you guys and gals first.

sawdust is very light and I use it in some of my bags for the bench that I transport back and forth to the range. go to a wood shop or cabinet shop and they will give it to you.

Try the large styrofoam peanuts used for packing when you mail a package. Just make sure you pack your bag tightly because if it's loose it won't work as well.
