I am still trying to figure out what is meant by.
I quote the quote.
"Benson lives about a four minute drive past the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Pays house in Bountiful."
The writers of this article really wanted to make a point of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I supposed it's the Mormons fault.

The LDS thing was stupid.

But I see 2 dudes who have already commented. Both of whom complain about deer herds.

How much better could counts, and habitat of been for $7 million?

Those questions were initially raised by the Utah government auditor but remain unanswered – some six years and more than $4 million later. Indeed, it appears the overlap between BGF, its foundation, and Stag Consulting remains substantial. But unless and until Utah state officials decide to insist on a real accounting, the public will never know if they are getting their money’s worth.

Gee. Any of this sound familiar to $fw?

Peay/Benson have fleeced Utah for about $20million in the last decade. Anyone point to how far superior Utah’s wildlife is because of it?

Don't argue with grizzly Bess.....he's really smart.....just ask him
Pretty much everyone I know is smarter than the dotards that frequent the Politics page.

But luckily, I take no offense to criticism from a guy that openly brags that he's a jerk every chance he gets. What a sad, horrible way to live a life. I don't suffer jerks, nor fools, gladly; but I do hope that things improve for you some day. Now, back to the OP.

Hey Hossy?

I Take it I'm one of them that complain about Deer Herds?

Yup!

When Everybody does Nothing!

When Everybody Says Nothing!

What Do You End up With?

"I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced within that shorthand description ["hard-core pornography"], and perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly doing so. But I know it when I see it, "

-Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart-

Articles such as this are nothing more than hate porn for the intellectually neglected and self-righteous bottom feeders.

It demonizes people being compensated for their labors with money, people who live within the vicinity of a church, and people who network with other people within their industry. Basically it promotes illogical hate for characterizations which all of us, INCLUDING THE WRITER, possess.

Do you know how difficult it is to get an animal struck from the ESA????? It's about as easy as Bruce Jenner being impregnated and having a baby. Apparently there are two goals of this organization and it has achieved %50 of those goals and the author complains about them succeeding at that! That's nothing more than "damned if you do, damned if you don't" whining.

I think a better article would be about the systemic racism of western technology which has robbed non-white and under-privileged minorities of Cat Urbigkit stories on printed paper to wipe their dirty backsides with.

My grammar and English skills lay somewhere between Forest Gump and Simple Jack. EVEN I CAN TELL THIS IS POORLY WRITTEN GARBAGE. What has happened to journalism? Cat wants to analyze how Benson got his job. I want to know how she, a grossly under-qualified hate pornographer, landed her job.

Yup. You are.

Wolves are a federal issue. Meaning lobbyists.

but dropping to a low of $38,000 in 2018.

So WE paid BGF to DELIST wolves, and Benson spent $38k on a lobbyist. $38k? The DWR is dumping MILLIONS of YOUR dollars to DELIST wolves. And Benson found a lobbyist who makes less than the MCDonalds drive through kid.

But don’t notice wolves ARENT DELISTED.

In the meantime we auction off over 500 tags a year, because the DWR “needs the money”.

But hey, it’s a perfect scheme,“wolf” makes folks go blind, lose their minds, become irrational. So much so they will hand over MILLIONS and not even ask what for.

It is funny.

The only delisted wolves in Utah, are the ones included in Wyoming’s management.

Meaning we in Utah spent MILLIONS to do what Wyoming did for free.

Facts and data are stubborn. Regardless of whether it’s a lib journal or Grizz putting it out, it doesn’t change a single thing.

The fact that anybody would defend a $12 million expenditure that started as a directive " “DWR was verbally directed to give the funds to SFW the first year,” but neglects to identify from whom this "legislative direction" originated." baffles me. To do what Idaho and Wyoming did for free? This just goes to show just how corrupt the Utah DWR and how cozy they are with Peay and anyone he brings into the party. Also baffles me that anybody could direct that kind of funding to one organization! This was clearly a "behind closed doors" deal here. $12 million would have bought a substantial amount of habitat and conservation easements. And yet you still have guys on here that have a love affair with the DWR. Crazy.

Ya’ll need to just settle down!

management in Utah should go something like this:

Show me a live wolf in my hunting spot And I’ll show you a dead wolf in my hunting spot!

Same with poachers!

See a poacher?

SAY SOMETHING!

Instead of donating your hard earned money, put that money into your gas tank and a few bullets and go for a hike in your favorite honey hole!

Easy enough right?!

Then move your happy butts to Wyoming since something for "free" is so important to you.

I can't believe I am listening to people who think Wyoming does stuff for "free". Are yall really that dumb?

I don't want to dive into the politics of wolf management here and what is and is not effective, but when auditors come in and review a contract and raise a ton of red flags, and the changes they suggest are not followed, that seems problematic to me.

BGF is way worse that SFW. SFW at least tries to pretend they do things for Utah wildlife. If you go and look at the history and what is in the public record, you will be troubled, just like the auditors were. But alas, nothing has changed. Par for the course on Utah wildlife issues. Sometimes those calling the shots try to pretend like they are doing the right thing, and other times they just give everyone the middle finger and tell them to pound sand.

This is par for the course when it comes to Utah big game management. We allow a few loud voices to dominate the discussion on wildlife management issues. We allow those groups to dominate the decision making process (WB and RACs). And then we are suprised when those same characters find ways to take millions of dollars out of the system with little to no accountability (see Expo tags and state lobbying contracts).

When called out by the general public for the lack of accountability and transparency, the groups are typcially defended by the DWR and the state policiticians. Then in an effort to appease the public, the groups make insignificant changes and take steps to give the appearance of transparency. My favorite comment from the article came from the State's Legislative Audit of the Wolf Delisting Funds back in 2013 and noted that the State's RFP "specifically describes BGF and gives the appearance that it was tailored to meet their experience and expertise." Does that sound familiar to anyone? Some things never change!

Try, tell us all about your experience in Wyoming wolf management and how you know what Wyoming does or doesn't do while sitting in Shitholesburg, TexASS.

Is this a dotard roll-call?

Do I lose my dotard card if I already knew Utah has one of the most corrupt state governments in the west?
