All done. 21-0 BC for a 9-0 undefeated season with a #1 ranking in NJ & at least #6 in the U.S. Next up are the state playoffs, where BC will be a #1 seed in their bracket.

The only positive take away for Saint Peter's Prep was the completed pass on 4th down and long with 90 seconds to play, trailing 21-0.(y) :)

The thing I liked about this game was no commercial breaks...could have used the instant replay a couple times.

Yeah, I often sit there waiting for the instant replay that never comes. That, & everything is mostly all from one camera angle.

It was obvious the BC coach wanted to use the running game as much as possible for Angeli's health issues.

#1 BERGEN CATHOLIC CRUSADERS--21
#7 ST. PETER'S PREP MARAUDERS--0

FINAL from Jersey City.
It was all Butler, and the Crusader D today as our Gridiron
1f3c8.png
Gang proved why they are still top dog in N.J. High School football.

Crusader Senior R.B. RYAN ''BATTERING RAM" BUTLER bulled, and plowed his way through a tough Marauders Defensive front-7 with the help of our "big uglies''. He accounted for 2 Crusader T.D.s. He scored on runs of 7, and 11 yards.

I am not a statistician but, would guess Ryan gained over 100 yards rushing on the day. Junior R.B. SAEED ST. FLEUR scored the 1st Crusader T.D. of the day with 31-yard gallop as he burst through a hole between the tackles in the 1st quarter. Senior K GIANCARLO Carbonaro was a perfect 3 for 3 on P.A.T.s.

After giving up 28 points to Seton Hall Prep last weekend, our stout front seven kept Marauder Senior R.B.s SAMUEL "SAM" SLADE & PAUL LEFKOWITZ in check for the entire game. Save for a few big pass plays, two by way of long passes completed by Junior Q.B. ROBERT "CHAMP" LONG to Junior W.R. ZION FOWLER, the Crusader pass rush made it difficult for Long to set his feet, and survey the field to throw. Junior D.E.s DE'JUAN "D.J." SAMUELS & CHRISTIAN ROSS flushed him out of the pocket, and our Crusader Defensive backfield drowned the Marauder W.R.s with tight coverage.

D.J., Junior D.T. Sydir Mitchell, and Senior L.B. John Fiore would each register one sack. Senior L.B.s GERRY CRUM, and A.J. MORRIS had a few bone-jarring hits/tackles. Sophomore D.B. DEQUAN STEWART had an INT.

Our Crusaders assured themselves the top seed in the Non-Public, Group A playoffs with the #2 ST. AUGUSTINE PREP HERMITS (8-1) the #2 seed. The Hermits were 35-21 winners over the HOLY SPIRIT SPARTANS (3-5) last night in Absecon.

Also last night, windy rainy weather in Wayne caused the #3 SETON HALL PREP PIRATES (6-3) to have their worst offensive output all season. The Pirates only managed 6 points as they suffered a devastating loss to the #7 DEPAUL CATHOLIC SPARTANS (7-2), 20-6. The Spartan defense proved they are among the best in the State holding down the Pirate high-powered offense to less than a T.D. The team from West Orange will certainly drop in the rankings, and be given a lower playoff seed. The Spartans, coached by our own VITO Campanile's younger brother, Nick Campanile, are a lock for the top spot in NON-PUBLIC, GROUP B.

In other scores, the #12 DON BOSCO PREP IRONMEN (5-4) shutout the winless PARAMUS CATHOLIC PALADINS (0-9), 41-0, last night at Paladin Stadium in Paramus. Earlier this afternoon, the #6 ST. JOSEPH (MONTVALE) GREEN KNIGHTS (6-3) downed the DELBARTON GREEN WAVE (4-5), 27-14, in Morristown.

*******THE REGULAR SEASON IS OFFICIAL OVER*******

CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Vito, his coaching staff, and our Gridiron
1f3c8.png
Gang for being the first NON-PUBLIC team in the Super Football Conference era to finish the Regular Season undefeated!!!!

Tomorrow, the NON-PUBLIC playoff seeding committee will seed the Group A, and Group B brackets. It will be a projected 14-team bracket in Group A with the projected opt-outs being the Paladins, and the Basking Ridge-based PINGRY BIG BLUE (5-2), the bottom 2 teams in Power Points.

The Crusaders will receive a first round bye if, the 14-team bracket projection holds true. This means they will have two weeks to rest, heal, and prepare for their next opponent.

State rankings as per nj.com. Other information as per Gridiron NewJersey, and Varsity Aces.

I want to THANK YOU ALL for following this page during the regular season!! Our page also reached 1K members recently. Without the support of each, and every one of you this page would not have the legs & feet to stand on.

And, thanks to all who provided in-game updates!!!!
Thank you all so very much!!!!

LET'S GO BERGEN!!!!

The 2021 Non-Public, Group A playoff brackets are set.
As predicted, our Gridiron
1f3c8.png
Gang was awarded the top seed while the HERMITS of ST. AUGUSTINE PREP (8-1) are the #2 seed. The GREEN KNIGHTS of ST. JOSEPH (MONTVALE) are the #3 seed. The top 3 seeds get a 1st round bye.

The Crusaders (9-0) will face the winner of #9 seed NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH (4-4) at #8 seed DONOVAN CATHOLIC GRIFFINS (5-4) in the quarterfinals. That game will be this Friday, 11/5. Kickoff time T.B.A.

The opt-outs were the ST. JOSEPH (METUCHEN) FALCONS (2-6), the PINGRY BIG BLUE (5-3), and the PARAMUS CATHOLIC PALADINS (0-9). They were the bottom three in the UNITED POWER RANKINGS.

It's PLAYOFF TIME, people!!!!

Quarter final game today starts at 11 am AZ time. There's a $5 charge to view.

#8`DONOVAN CATHOLIC GRIFFINS (6-4) at #1 BERGEN CATHOLIC CRUSADERS (9-0) at THE JACK in Crusader Stadium, Oradell. Kickoff at 1 p.m. NON-PUBLIC, GROUP A quarterfinal.

The Griffins from Toms River make their way up the Garden State Parkway North to visit Oradell. They lock it up with our Crusaders in a NON-PUBLIC, GROUP A playoff quarterfinal. On 11/5, they blew out the #9 NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH (5-4), 48-8, at Donovan Catholic Stadium in the first round of the playoffs. Crusaders had a first round bye.

The Griffins boast Senior Q.B. JALIN BUTLER (no relation to our boy RYAN BUTLER) who is a dual-threat passing, and running the football. J. Butler has 852 yards passing in 44 completions out of 68 attempts with a 90% completion percentage, and 10 T.D.s. He is also 2nd on the team with 807 yards rushing on 86 carries, 9.4 yards per carry, and 8 T.D.s. Senior R.B. NUNES BUKULA IV leads the Griffins in rushing with 1,021 yards on 124 carries, and 11 T.D.s. The Griffins W.R. Corps. is led by Senior KYREE DRAKE who leads the team in receiving yards with 395 yards in 22 catches, and has caught 5 T.D.s.

The Griffins's Offensive numbers suggest they favor a strong ground game by running the football. They boast 2,356 rushing yards to 892 passing. J. Butler accounts for 34% of the Griffins's rushing yards. That means he can do damage with his feet as well as his arm. The Crusader front 7 must contain J. Butler. D.E.s Junior DE'JUAN "D.J." SAMUELS, and Senior CHRISTIAN ROSS must contain him by taking away rushing lanes, and not allow him to extend plays. L.B.s Senior John Fiore, Junior MALACHI Mercer, Senior A.J. MORRIS, and Senior GERRY CRUM must help by plugging holes, and not allowing J. Butler to run free. Bukula is also a threat to run dives, and off-tackles. D.L. Junior SYDIR MITCHELL, and Senior DOMINICK BROGNA (a Donovan Catholic-transfer) must stuff their gaps, and rush the Q.B. Forcing the Griffins to throw the football takes away their main strength: the running game. Our Defensive backfield of Senior JAYDEN BELLAMY, Senior JAEDEN GOULD, Junior DAQUAN STEWART, Senior FABIAN FRANCE (if healthy), Senior BEN MANUELIAN, and Sophomore KAJ SANDERS will be pressed into service with their tight man-to-man coverage. Holding their assignments will be crucial. The Crusader D is run by Crusader Defensive Coordinator Anthony DeBellis.

On Defense, the Griffins are led by hard-hitting, aggressive Junior L.B. DANTE VERNIERI, Senior L.B. NAT IANNELLO, and very big Senior D.L. NICO IPPOLITO who is listed at 6'2", and 340 lbs. Kyree Drake, and Senior MYSUN ESDAILE are W.R.s who double as D.B.s. Their Defensive front 7 took away any semblance of a ground game from NOTRE DAME, and made life miserable for Fighting Irish Sophomore Q.B. A.J. SURACE. They sacked him 5 times in their 1st round playoff game. The Crusader O-line is anchored by Senior C JOE MATONE with Gs Senior QUENTIN LANE & Junior DYLAN GARRITY, and Ts Senior P.J. BONISTALLI, Junior SEAN Woods & Senior Dominick Brogna. (Bonistalli & Woods rotate at Right Tackle.) NOTE: Quentin Lane is the nephew of former-Crusader standout-R.B. ERIC LANE, Bergen Catholic Class of 1992. That unit which averages 260 lbs. is one of our strongest units, and must open up holes for our R.B.s Senior RYAN "BATTERING RAM" BUTLER, and Junior SAEED ST. FLEUR. However, Ryan has proven all season that he just needs is a few inches of daylight. After he fights through that small running lane past the 1st level, he plows, and bowls over other defenders to gain extra yards. Other times, he powers, and stiff-arms his way to pay dirt. Once our Crusaders establish a ground attack, an aerial show should open up for our Senior Field General Q. B. STEVE "THE SNAKE" Angeli. His receiving corps. of W.R.s Senior "THE" SANTINO Correa & Junior CHRISTIAN CARTI with T.E.s Senior LARUE LINDER & Junior JACK COMEAU will provide valuable options in the passing game. Head Coach VITO Campanile always states in the B.C. WAR ROOM with MIKE QUICK, the goal of the Offense is to "take what the defense gives us". Assisting Vito with the offense is Offensive Coordinator RON CARTI, Christian Carti's Dad.

On Special Teams, no doubt our Crusaders have the advantage with Sophomore P.R./K.R. CHRIS Mimmo, K.R. Fabian France, and Senior K GIANCARLO Carbonaro who is among the top kickers in the State. The Griffins answer back with Senior K GAVIN NGUYEN who was 6 of 7 on P.A.T.s vs. Notre Dame.

I re-emphasize E.S.P.N. Legend CHRIS BERMAN'S famous quote:
"On paper, it seems like a sure thing. That is why they PLAY THE GAMES!!"

Playoff seedings as per the N.J.S.I.A.A. Statistical numbers as per MaxPreps.

Game over. Final score 35-7. BC moves to state semi-final rematch againt St. Peter's Prep. who they beat 21-0 on Oct. 30 during league play at the beginning of this thread!

It seems BC is running on all cylinders. They used the lightning delay to full advantage. :)
Indeed. Defense played great. Other than the one drive where DC had a long pass completion to set up its lone score, BC pretty much stuffed DC. I think they got into BC territory only one other possession. Butler the Battering Ram had four TDs.

Now 10-0. Next week is the semi-final & then the final will be in Met-Life Stadium if they win.

Watch live. I believe there is a $5 charge.

LAST SHUTOUT
12/6/1986, W 33-0 at Hinchcliff Stadium in Paterson, PAROCHIAL NORTH A FINAL.
The first meeting between the Crusaders, and Marauders was mostly a defensive battle. The Crusaders made the big plays which led to 21 points. The Defense held things down to preserve the shutout. Our Field General Senior Q.B. STEVE Angeli will look to throw more to W.R.s Senior "THE" SANTINO Correa & Junior CHRISTIAN CARTI. Steve threw for a meager 50 yards on 6 completions in the 1st meeting. Crusader Senior R.B. RYAN "BATTERING RAM" BUTLER has been a workhorse as of late averaging 150 yards in the last 4 games. That includes 240 yards vs. SETON HALL PREP on 10/23 (regular season), and 89 yards vs DONOVAN CATHOLIC on 11/13 & 11/14 (weather-delayed playoff game). Our Defense, led by newly-crowned all-time Crusader sacks leader Junior D.E. DE'JUAN "D.J." SAMUELS & his fellow Junior D.E. CHRISTIAN ROSS, will look to make things uncomfortable for Marauders Senior Q.B. ROBERT "CHAMP" LONG by keeping constant pressure on him. He must not have time in the pocket to find his W.R. threats Seniors ZION FOWLER & FITZROY LEDGISTER. Conversely, the Crusader front 7 led by D.L. Junior SYDIR MITCHELL & Senior DOMINICK BROGNA with L.B.s Senior John Fiore, Senior GERRY CRUM, Junior MALACHI Mercer, and Senior A.J. MORRIS must slowdown the Marauders's 1-2 punch in Senior R.B.s SAMUEL "SAM" SLADE & PAUL LEFKOWITZ. Forcing the Marauders to throw the football will force the Crusader Defensive backfield into tighter pass coverage. Senior D.B.s JAYDEN BELLAMY, and JAEDEN GOULD (an interception each against Donovan Catholic) are up to the task. The Crusader Offensive line, anchored by Senior C JOE MATONE, and Senior G QUENTIN LANE, will lock it up with Marauder D.L. Junior LOGAN BARNES, Senior BRYCE ROOKS, and Junior LONDON ROBINSON.
The winner heads to MetLife Stadium next weekend (11/26, or 11/27) to face the winner of Friday night's semifinal between #6 DON BOSCO PREP IRONMEN (7-4) at #2 ST. AUGUSTINE PREP HERMITS (9-1) at LaRosa Stadium in Richland.

And so now a bit of the back story on next week's state championship game between Bergen Catholic (11-0) & Don Dosco Prep (8-4), which will take place in Metlife Stadium -- home of the NY Giants.

The rivalry between BC & DB -- one of the longest & most intense on the East coast -- began in 1958. That was the first year BC fielded a team (the one I played on). It has taken place every year since. This year, BC prevailed with a 17-0 win a few weeks ago. So the state championship game next weekend will be a rematch for this year's teams.

How well known is the rivalry? Well, if you have access to HBO Max, tune into episode 10 of 'The Pacific' at about the 20:25 mark.

To set the scene:
The main character, Robert Leckie, just returns from the war front, circa 1945. His dad is the editor of the Bergen Evening Record, a real newspaper in Bergen County, NJ where both BC & DB are located.

Leckie visits his dad's office & tells him he wants to take over as the sports editior.

His dad asks him, "When do you want to start?"

Leckie replies, "Today is a good day. Bergen Catholic plays Don Bosco Prep this afternoon."

Cool, right? Only problem is BC didn't even exist & DB didn't have a football team then. BC opened in 1955, and I was a member of that first class. Also, DB didn't field a football team until the late '50s.

It's obvious Spielberg's script writers didn't do a lot of research. :ROFLMAO:

I just checked the records of the NY Jets & NY Giants that both play in MetLife stadium. Both of them have dismal records. Perhaps today's BC vs DB game, which starts in about an hour, will draw more fans than those two do now. :ROFLMAO:

I have an appointment on a crab boat at 1:45 pm Pacific time. Not sure how much of the game I'll get to see. I'll be busy until dark. :( GO BC!

Thanks Tony for the game recap. I'm looking forward to it. The commercial crabbers are set to go Dec.2nd, so it's now or never, or I'd postpone my trip.

You got crabs, eh?

I'm jealous. The whole blue crabs we get here are too small, and the snow & king legs are too damn expensive now.

So how does that deal work??

Bergen Catholic football conquered
every challenge in 2021

Darren Cooper

EAST RUTHERFORD — Vito Campanile’s celebratory cartwheel wasn’t perfect.

His team was.

“Hey, when you need a knee replacement at 47 and can still do a cartwheel, that’s pretty good,” said Campanile, who did the full-body 360 in the postgame celebration. “I still have a little something in the tank.”

The New Jersey football world is looking up at Bergen Catholic today, like it has for most of the 2021 season. Bergen Catholic clinched a perfect 12-0 season with a convincing 28-7 win over Don Bosco on Saturday afternoon at MetLife Stadium in the Non-Public A final.

It’s the first perfect season for Bergen Catholic since 1998. The Crusaders are the first Big Six program to finish undefeated since Don Bosco in 2011. There’s no reason to think Bergen Catholic won’t finish No. 1 in New Jersey when the final rankings are released.

To see what made Bergen Catholic successful, all you had to do was look at the helmet of star running back Ryan Butler, who finished with a game high 130 yards and two scores. The helmet looked white because so much gold paint had chipped off. That showed the toughness.

You only had to look at stud defensive lineman (and part-time running back) DJ Samuels wearing his sunglasses. That showed the fun.

“When these come on, there’s no stopping me,” Samuels said while video cameras rolled.

And the smile of Saeed St. Fleur, the Lightning to Ryan Butler’s Thunder in the Bergen Catholic backfield. St. Fleur was the big playmaker for the Crusaders on Saturday, churning out 122 yards on the ground and catching a key 44-yard pass to set up an early touchdown.

“This is everything I have ever wanted,” St. Fleur said. “I worked for this all summer with my coaches and I worked late at night. I am just starstruck.”

We can debate where this Bergen Catholic team ranks in the pantheon of greatest teams in North Jersey history, but consider, this group was never truly tested, it seemed. It’s closest win came by nine points. I remember the Crusaders trailing St. Joe’s 10-0 in the first half, but that may have been the biggest margin they trailed by all season. Seton Hall Prep led – briefly – in the fourth quarter, but then the Crusaders surged back.

So say whatever you want from a history standpoint, but in 2021, Bergen Catholic was New Jersey’s best team. Period.

Don Bosco came at the Crusaders hard (of course). The Ironmen dominated the first quarter, scoring on a Nick Minicucci run and then blocked a punt set them up at the Crusaders' 15. But the Bergen Catholic defense rose up and forced a short field goal, which sailed wide.

That was the other key to Bergen Catholic’s success, maybe their best. They showed Resolve.

“I think it’s more about a character trait than a football-team trait, but I think it says a lot about who they are,” Campanile said. “In my experience, the people that I revere the most, in their hardest of times, they become the best version of themselves and they have always done that.”

Bergen Catholic stormed back with two first-half touchdowns, then in the third quarter, it was Samuels' turn. The play was 27-power, with Samuels lined up in the backfield. He followed the block of St. Fleur and rumbled into the end zone from five yards out.

Samuels said it was his first touchdown since eighth grade. It made it 21-7 and Don Bosco’s fate was sealed.

“It’s been a long time coming,” Samuels said. “I was ready for it and no one could deny me that touchdown.”

At Bergen Catholic, the expectations are always winning a state title. It was Campanile’s first state title as a head coach (he won two sectional titles at Westwood). It’s hard to find any coach who invests more of himself in a program. He noted that this senior class was his first class when he walked in at Bergen Catholic four years ago.

“This was the only way I could ever expect them to walk out of here,” Campanile said.

Next year, Bergen Catholic has to replace the talents of Butler and quarterback Steve Angeli. Who will be their main challenger? Look no further than the team across the field Saturday. Don Bosco’s graduation losses are small. In fact, the Ironmen will bear a resemblance to the team Bergen Catholic had this year, with a quarterback who gained great experience and a talented running back in Ronnie Heath to build around.

We never stop looking ahead to who’s next and what could happen, but Saturday was all about Bergen Catholic turning the New Jersey football world on its head.

Bergen Catholic football completes perfect season
with win over Don Bosco in title game

EAST RUTHERFORD — Bergen Catholic will be the unanimous No. 1 football team in New Jersey and should be a consensus Top 10 team in the nation.

The Crusaders punctuated a perfect season with a 28-7 victory over archrival Don Bosco in the Non-Public Group A championship on Saturday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.

“I think the last four weeks have probably been as stressful as I’ve had in my coaching career," said Bergen Catholic coach Vito Campanile, "because I think a lot how bad I wanted this for our team and our school.”

Bergen Catholic (12-0) entered Thanksgiving No. 1 in the USA TODAY Network New Jersey Top 25 rankings, and No. 4 in the USA TODAY Sports Super 25 national rankings.

The Crusaders closed the scoring on a 45-yard touchdown run by senior workhorse running back and Princeton commit Ryan Butler with 1:08 left. It was Butler's 25th TD of the season.

The Crusaders grabbed the lead for good, 14-7, at 4:27 of the second quarter on a 1-yard run by Butler. The drive covered 11 plays and 51 yards.

Bergen Catholic tied the score, 7-7, on the final play of the first quarter, with senior receiver Jayden Bellamy catching a 13-yard TD pass from senior quarterback and fellow Notre Dame commit Steven Angeli.

Don Bosco (8-5) scored on its first possession for a 7-0 lead on a 19-yard TD run by junior quarterback Nick Minicucci. He faked a handoff, ran up the middle, cut left and dove into the end zone at 7:35 of the first quarter.

“Offensively, you come out and you have a great first drive like that, and then you don’t score again for the rest of the day, you’re not going to win a state championship like that, that’s for sure,” Don Bosco coach Dan Sabella said.

What it means
Bergen Catholic will be voted New Jersey's No. 1 team in every poll and should be in the top 10 in every national ranking service.

“We told Coach Vito at the beginning of the season that we were going to give him an undefeated season, and from the first day of practice, we’ve just been going at it,” said DJ Samuels, an All-State junior defensive lineman and major Division I recruit.

Don Bosco arrived ranked No. 5 in New Jersey and could remain in the Top 10, pending the outcome of a couple of regional public championships next weekend at Rutgers.

Key drive
Bergen Catholic extended its lead to 21-7 in the third quarter on a 6-yard TD run by Samuels – the program's all-time sack leader. It was only his second varsity carry and first TD.

That third Crusaders' TD came after Samuels and the defense made a pivotal stop on a fourth-and-1 at the Don Bosco 46-yard line. Senior defensive lineman and Delaware commit Dominick Brogna clogged the running lane and senior defensive lineman Christian Ross made the tackle for no gain.

BC earns 'A' for 'D'
Bergen Catholic's defense has been a second-half juggernaut, holding its three playoff opponents scoreless after intermission.

"We're definitely a second-half team," Samuels said. "We might come out a little slow, but in that second half, we're definitely going to bring it. Once we adjusted everything, nobody can score on us."

"They play with relentless effort, they care about each other a great deal, and they've been super," Campanile said.

By the numbers
Bergen Catholic had 364 total yards, including 284 rushing. Butler carried 26 times for 130 yards and two scores, and junior Saeed St. Fleur rushed eight times for 122 yards. Angeli completed 9 of 14 passes for 95 yards and a score.

Don Bosco had 234 yards. Minicucci rushed nine times for 44 yards and passed 11-for-22 for 165 yards and one interception.

Don Bosco blocked two punts but could not capitalize. Leading 7-0, senior Kyle Bohm blocked a punt to set up a first-and-10 at the BC 15-yard line, but the Ironmen missed a 27-yard field goal.

“After we got that blocked punt, not getting points hurt us," Sabella said. "I just felt that momentum really changed.”

They said it
"What I talked to these kids about before the game, I think it's way more about a character trait than it is a football team," Campanile said. "I think it says a lot about who they are, because in my experience, the people that I revere the most and the people who have had the greatest effect on me, in the hardest of times, they become the best version of themselves. And they've done that over and over again."

So how does that deal work??
Bring a fishing license, an ice chest, and $70 and you can take home a limit of live crab. He takes 5-6 people each trip and runs two trips a day, conditions permitting.

I've known him for about 30 years and been out with him many times. He asked me yesterday how my halibut season was this year. When I told him I went 11 times and never caught a halibut he said he wasn't sure he wanted someone with that bad of luck on his boat. He finally said I could go but please stay in the cabin and lay low....LOL I guess the crab didn't notice. I knew him before he became a charter boat owner and he worked in a sawmill.

Cool. The limit must be fairly generous to make the cost reasonable enough, eh?

When I visited my buddy in Ocean City, MD, we'd usually go out to eat steamed crabs at least once while I was there. The last time, a dozen med. blues cost about $75. It's likely a lot higher now.

The humorous part is we could catch them free right off his dock. He even had the traps. So on one stay, I did just that. I used chicken necks & caught enough over a few hours for a meal for three of us. Made one of my special crab salads with celery, parsley, lemons & olive oil.

I know I’m a heretic but.... but....but...I’d far rather spend $70 on a pot full of crabs than $750 on a 2 point buck, or a dollar.......

Go a head Founder...........

The commercial crabbers are getting $4.75/pound so that's about what I'm paying. It will be double that retail. My wife and I get 5 meals from 10 crabs. I have them picked and vacuum sealed now.....minus the 2 we ate today.

I'd rather shoot a 2 point than get sea sick..... :ROFLMAO:

The possession limit is 10 for us sport guys. You can probably buy as many as you want though, retail.
So 10 crabs are what you get for the $70??

If one crab is enough for a meal, they gotta be a LOT bigger than the MD blues. I can't recall the species (Dungeness?), but when I fished at Buck's Camp in River Inlet, BC, they served huge crabs one night. Prolly same species as the one you're getting eh? If so, they would be well worth the $70.
