Big Unit 27 Coues buck

Here's a photo of a buck taken last month on the unit 27 December hunt. This is the biggest buck taken on that hunt that I'm aware of to date. It's a 3x4 and gross scores 101. Yes, she killed it. Congratulations Shawna on a very nice Coues buck.

Shawna harvested this buck on the second day of the hunt. He was glassed up on a south facing bowl, awaiting the morning rays of the sun to warm him up. After an hour of stalking the buck was picked up again at a 100 yards. One crack of the '06 put her buck down for good. This is Shawna's second deer she has taken. Needless to say her first was a coues also.I do believe she's hooked on the little whitetail... Russell
