Blackfoot Idaho

Need to spend the day in Blackfoot. How can I spend 5-8 hrs? Putting a new truckbed on my dodge and its about $500 cheaper than I can find in Northern Utah.

Not much in Blackfoot but the Army Surplus store is just up the road, you could kill some time there. Not sure how you will be getting around if your truck is in the shop though.

I go to Blackfoot every year for a goose hunt with friends. The highlight of the trip, besides hunting, is going to the Walmart and looking at all the weird people. Its kind of fun, lol. We hit the pawn shop too.

Actually, the Idaho Potato Museum is pretty interesting, to kill an hour. Don't know if its open, because of the whole virus thing, but there is a little cafe there that has a pretty good baked potato. Its on Main Street, just about a mile down from the Interstate.
Of course, you could always go to the Ft Hall casino, and blow the $500 you saved!

I am a contractor and when I worked at the potato plants there I would slip down on the Snake at lunch and do a little fishing. We caught a few descent fish in that time.

I lived in Pocatello for eight years and went to Idaho Falls a lot. There was nothing to stop for in Blackfoot though.

No didn’t go to ISU but my wife worked there the whole time we lived there.
We actually lived about 30 miles south of Pocatello near McCammon.

My kids lived on Poky while he fought fire for the BLM, and my DIL went to school while working at the bank. Used to frustrate her to no end, 'cause she couldn't get the classes she needed for degree in a logical consecutive order! Claimed ISU was the most screwed up of all our Universities.
