Either I or one of my kids drew this tag with only a few points. Problem is its the weekend before my sheep tag that I was hoping to use for scouting. Is this a unit that we could have a decent chance of getting an average goat on opening morning and then buzz down to scout for my sheep? Are there plenty of antelope? I've noticed that they have really cut the tags back the past few years. We don't need to hold out for a booner, just a decent antelope.

Last year I drew a BC South deer tag. I went on a 4 day scout trip, camping in Cottonwood Creek. I then returned for a one week deer hunt. I did not see any antelope. Not any....was very surprised. I was not down on the flats, so ymmv, but about my last choice for goats...................best of luck.............BK

We have gone 4 for 4 down there. Yes, you can, and if you scout and have a couple of shooters on the hit list a real good chance of being done like my wife two years ago within a couple of hours.
