Buddies 2007 bear

Here is a pic of my buddies bear he took in A zone this year. I took my bear within 100 yrds of his a few months later. Sorry for the kind of graphic pic but its a good story. The bear ended up charging my buddy and he had to sidehill up and shot him thru the mouth and then finished him off with a neck shot. The first shot broke its spine but he still was able to charge. This bear is a huge bruin at over 6 1/2 ft. We are waiting for an official score to see if it makes Boone and Crockett. Our rough measurement puts it in the top 10 bears taken in Ca. These are the only pictures I have on my cmputer. Ill try to get some more from him soon.

Drive that skull to bakersfield tommorrow and I'll put an official score on it. Looks like a nice bear from what you can see.
