Bull and Cow Calls

I'm looking at getting a Power Bugle call and Hoochie Mama call. What are your thoughts on these? Would you recommend something else? Thanks in advance.

I will be hunting for a spike bull the weekend of October 9th. With the rut winding down, will calls still be effective?

I will get hammered for this but I will give you my honest opinion. The Hoochie Mama is unreliable in cold weather and IMO
does not sound like a cow.

As we used this call on our LE elk hunt this year I would listen to the cows and they DID not sound anything close to this call.

I have called in elk with them. However, I have marginal success at best (overall). I would get a diaphram reed call
and do a lot of practicing.

IMO, so many people have these Hoochie Mama calls and the elk soon wise up to them.

Not sure about the bugle.
