Killed my buck around 8 am this morning, typical representative forked horn. About a 110 yard shot and the Barnes 150 did the rest.

Congrats! Seems like this was a good C opening weekend. My youngest daughter got her 1st buck opening morning. She was pretty happy….off-hand ~ 100yds…dad was proud

More work but SOOO worth it! Clean gorgeous venison headed for the freezer! I loaded the bullets, harvested the animal and butchered him myself..no cleaner way to do meat!

It’s a Barnes TTSX..shed about half the bullet traversing from behind ribs to just under skin on off shoulder. From a 7 RM @ ~2950 fps

you wet age the meat before freezing?

I hang it for 4 or 5 days and butcher. Has always been good.

it looked good going into the bag so i was curious. where do you hang it?

Usually in my garage. Didn't get very cold so I'm on day 4 and needed to cut it up. Meat is very tender, I can tell.
