LAST EDITED ON May-05-10 AT 02:51PM (MST)[p]I've drawn the archery elk tag for this area and have only hunted it once in my life. Wife says she wants to go camping so I figure why not make it a camping/scouting trip. Any recomendations for campgrounds. We'll be towing a pop-up. Would really love to be next to a lake with decent fishing and hiking. And of course close to some decent elk spots that I can check out. Any ideas?
 
Strawberry Reservoir or Currant Creek would be your best bet to be close to good fishing and lots of elk. You can find established campgrounds or pull off areas off a dirt road in both areas that would work well for camping, fishing, and scouting. Good luck!
 
I agree with EH Utah on Strawberry, specifically just south renegade bay are some great camping spots.
