Capped versus General elk tags

So who is doing which hunt ? Are the capped zones better hunting or below carrying objectives ? Why are there capped ?

Because people think the capped zones are pretty and look better in their instagram pictures.

Lot of capped zones are below objectives, also many of them are capped just because of season structure, like the wilderness rifle hunts in September, or the November cow hunts in a couple of units. I’m personally hoping to get a capped tag this year just because I have my mind set on hunting a certain unit based on hunter numbers. We will see if any tags remain come Wednesday
