​ GAME AND FISH NEWS ​ ​ Feb. 23, 2022 ​ March 1 is deadline to update credit card information, purchase PointGuard for 2022 pronghorn, elk hunts ​ ​ ​ ​ PHOENIX — The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) reminds hunters who applied for 2022 pronghorn and elk hunt permit-tags that 11:59 p.m. (Arizona time) Tuesday, March 1, is the deadline to update credit card or debit card account information. The same deadline applies to purchasing PointGuard, which ensures if a successful applicant is unable or unwilling to participate in a hunt for any reason (illness, family emergencies, and even acts of nature such as wildfires and severe weather), the accumulated bonus points that were expended to draw that hunt permit-tag will be reinstated. The cost is $5 for each species. Also, a customer’s AZGFD portal account is the only source for finding out draw results and viewing bonus points. All customers are encouraged to create a free portal account at accounts.azgfd.com/Account/Register (family account features are available) and complete the required fields. NOTE: Draw results are no longer provided through an automated phone system. In the meantime, applicants are encouraged to keep their credit card and debit card account information current. If payment is declined at the time of the draw, the application will not be drawn. The department no longer calls applicants to obtain payment on drawn applications where credit cards or debit cards have failed. Applicants who have been issued a new credit card or debit card, a new expiration date, or had a change to their card’s number should visit draw.azgfd.com/Payment/Update. The last name and order number on the applicant’s draw receipt (sent by email after submission of the application) are required to update the credit card or debit card on file. For applicants who can’t locate their draw receipt, or might have deleted it from their email account, AZGFD is available to update card information by calling 602-942-3000, option “5,” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is important to update payment information for each species for which an application has been submitted. Also, if a credit card or debit card has been used for multiple applications, the appropriate banking institution should be notified that multiple charges from AZGFD could be processed simultaneously For more information, call the department at 602-942-3000.​ ​

"Technically" they can be hit anytime. There is no set day "per sey" they could hit them anytime from March 2nd to July 1st as their is no law or rule that says they must charge cards on a specific day.
