This is a wide spread problem in our justice system. More and more D.A.'s dropping charges to get a plea bargain and avoid court trials. I have seen good solid felonies dropped down to misdemeanors just to avoid a trial in court.
Plea bargain D.A.'s are now a dime a dozen in most places.

They only got their hunting privileges revoked in Nebraska, not all of the states. But then one of the conditions of their probation is that they cannot possess firearms, ammunition, or any other dangerous weapons. So it looks like sling shots will all they will be able to use to hunt with for the next three years.

They are crying about how they weren't told about the firearms condition when they agreed to plead guilty. And how they won't be able to feed their babies if they can't continue to hunt and make money. Should have thought about their babies before deciding to poach.

Nebraska is part of the interstate wildlife violators compact, expect to see a lot of Canadian hunting from them if they’re still allowed north of the border

D.A.'s are too chicken chit to prosecute because a loss looks bad on their record. It seems like any lawyer with a good poker face can get all kinds of stuff thrown out these days.

deadibob you hit it on the nailhead with that comment. Any time any D.A. running for re-election trots out his conviction rate. The question to ask is how many of those convictions were the result of a plea bargain and watch that D.A. stutter looking for a answer.
