City Creek Center - Mule Deer?

This last weekend my wife talked me into going to the City Creek Center mall. I thought, "At least they had a Swarovski store that I could check out while she shopped." To my dismay, the store was full of glass and diamonds instead of binos and spotting scopes!

Then I find this plaque of what they say is a "Mule deer."

Wow! I guess I was right all along about "City Folk." I better just stick to Cabelas and Sportsmans warehouse!

Yeah, I think their main line is in crystal and optics are a wee little side line. Do remember they are a foreign based company and many in other countries do not hunt and are not hunting aware. I believe that birders outnumber the hunters in terms of who is buying high end optics. Odds are that the "mule deer" thing got lost in the translation somewhere...
