Co11/211

I hunted it 3rd season last year and saw 60+ bucks. Only 2-3 were 3 1/2 years old and no mature bucks. I heard 100+ shots go off opening morning and lots of two points hanging in the Maybell park camping area.

There is the chance at a real decent buck, but I wouldn't hold out on the first 2 year old buck you see. Wife had the 2nd season tag last year and she missed the opportunity at a 170" buck cause of other hunters. Other than that buck, all we saw were a couple small bucks which she ended up taking one of.

There is a good buck or two running around there. Don't believe there are no good deer in 11. This guy was in the sage brush sea with 10,000 people around and nobody would get out of their vehicle far enough to glass spots they can hide.

As bad as 11 is, it's still better than most Utah general deer units.

This one isn't huge but he is old and had a huge body.

They have absolutely destroyed unit 11/211. Along with nearly all the MW units. Good luck. 8 years ago I would say hold out for a good buck. But since the CPW has decided to kill all mature bucks. 90% of the buck killed will be 3 or less. Any buck 4 years old will be a real trophy…

As a NR you couldn’t give me a 11/211 tag…

Completely agree.
I've lived in unit 11 for 8 years now. What a change!
Keep in mind, for this years hunt. 2022, The CPW issued:
2nd season - 250 doe tags
500 buck tags
500 cow tags
Unlimited over the counter bull tags
3rd season - 250 doe tags
750 buck tags
800 cow tags
Unlimited over the counter bull tags
I think they issued the same amount of tags last year also.
Does that seem like a lot of tags to anyone?
Does that sound like it is going to be a quality hunt?

Maybe the CPW biologist was schooled with that Common Core math they're using in schools now a days?
Seems criminal to me.
