Colorado 43,471 muzzy deer

Hi guys I just drew this tag with not thinking that I really had a chance. I've been researching the area alot and am going to go for the first scouting trip in about 3 weeks. The area is huge country and before I decide on a specific location I just wanted to ask if anyone has any information at all about this unit that you could share with me? I really appreciate any help and or info that you guys could provide me. Thanks so much!

That is a pretty cool tag and too bad you have not put in a ton of time as there can be some great bucks in that country. The governors tag buck came out of 43 a few years back and was huge.

I've scouted 471. A lot of Wilderness Area. So, unless you have a horse/mule, you'll be hiking a lot.

I know this is huge country and I'll be backpacking in with my buddy who also has a tag. I know I will be hard work but I'm excited for the adventure.
