Cow Elk 4 Kids?

Just looking for a starting place to hunt my two twin 15 yaer olds on their first elk hunt. Yes Ive been studying the regs and have a few ideas. Were looking at public land units with three points each and were non-resi's. Our biggest issue is high school football which ends around the middle of Nov ,coaches dont always understand, so late hunts are our only options.Not lookin for stinky old bulls this time just big tasty cows. 031, its a great cow hunt, and runs from oct6 to nov 30. of course it may be a long drive, depends on where you live.

there is way to many good cow hunts to be burning three elk points for cows! even look through the reduced cow calf list and with a little home work some of these private ranches will give you access for cows.One point off max in a couple years you will be in a good position to take them on a good bull hunt and every 18 year old wants to shoot a bull.
