Cow Elk

Looking to do a cow elk hunt in Wyoming. I've never elk hunted before but I am not scared of hard work. Any tips on good units to apply for?

Cow hunting is pretty easy in most any state. WY has lots of options.

I'm not sure what unit it is but north and East of Dubois I've seen lots of elk when I was there hunting deer in the late season. the cow hunters were driving the roads but too lazy to get out and look for elk not in sight of the road.

They are not applicable for the cheaper type 6 cow hunts and IMHO I wouldn't pay the NR rate for a full price cow tag that is the same cost as a bull tag.
