CVA Accura sights

I had a issue with the stock open sights with my Accura V2 and since then I want to put peep sights on it, but from my understanding, the rear peep needs to be lifted up? What has everyone done with their peep sights?

I would highly recommend getting the Williams fiber optic globe sight. The rear sight that comes with it is already higher than the stock sight that came on my Accura.

I had issues with the screws being too long (or my threads being too shallow), so I cut shims out of a beer can and it fixed the issue perfectly. According to Williams, the issue was specific to my individual rifle so you might not even have the screw issue, but if you do, the beer can shims only took me about 20 minutes.
