A heck of a lot of bucks were taken this weekend in D5. The meat locker in Martell, near Jackson had 50 bucks hanging by noon Sunday. My brother took his forky over and his was the 19th buck taken in on Sunday. The buck was genetically deficient.
I took a hike with my rifle this morning around the ranch, I saw 6 legal bucks, all forkys. I wasn't hunting, just getting in better shape and getting use to packing that iron. I'll hunt here when I come back from my Idaho hunt.
The air quality is terrible. Visability was about 2 miles this morning and the smoke was choking. It really seemed to be messing up the Deer's senses.
