Guys, does the Colorado archery deer season really start on Sept 2nd? That’s a Thursday

After last year Colorado now has the worst archery deer starting dates of any state. You may ask why? Well things are messed up in Co and we only have the “elk only” Colorado Bowhunters ASS to thank as the ass choose to move the deer season back and the change will cost archery hunters the best week of hunting.

Now along w wolves and shooting the heck out of big bucks later they pushed archery right on top of muzzy and high country rifle. Add in the recreational folks over labor day and it is getting very crowded in the high country...

An absolutely horrible change for archery and has many folks looking at using archery points in the late rifle seasons. Or over the next 5 years the bgss cost archery deer hunters their best 25 days due to the change. Yea thanks Colorado bowhunters association???

Labor day is a brutal weekend in CO! Don't even go out then. You 'll be sure there can be no bucks around! But they settle down when most people leave the woods

I heard the reason they moved the dates back was Muleys in velvet are ugly and they are also pretty dumb till they rub it off.

Velvets ok I kinda found it weird that it starts on a Thursday. It’s a 2 day drive for us so we’ll need to figure out our timing. The years we came out there(3) we left on Friday afternoon get settled on Sunday eve. We would head back to pa two weekends later. So, we’ll need to figure it out and maybe have a shorter trip if we need to
