Deer Numbers in redbud

I've read all the bad news on the deer numbers the last couple of years and wanted see if any one could offer some intel on the deer numbers along red bud creek south of Forsythe. I hunted there in 09 and had a good hunt and loved the country. My friend wants to go back again, but I'm trying to decide if we should wait until things improve. Has the die offs been as bad as reported in this area?

Mule Deer numbers are better as You go South in MT.
Using Highway 200, North of there the Mule Deer Numbers are very low generally. North of Highway 2 the deer really took a beating Winter of 10-11, going to take a while.
