Deer on Winter Range yet?

Was thinking of riding up through Kemmerer, LaBarge... tomorrow was wondering if the deer were on the winter range at all yet?

I didn't get over to Kemmerer, but drove through Cokeville, Sage Junction and on down to Evanston yesterday. Saw a few does out and a bout, but not much. The weather has been mild; warm, not too much snow,etc... There is some snow up in the high country accumulating, but not too much down low to push them on to the winter range.

The deer have been moving, but for the most part, not yet on winter ground. The elk are still hanging high, at least from what I've observed.

Well, I went up to Wyoming today and it was worth the trip! It was a nice day, and I saw some nice bucks!
