yeah and all the guys on here call me an idiot for saying the dang govt agencies dont play games behind our backs. many govt agencies are being headed by enviros and antis and push this crap behind our backs. the antis are probably creaming in there pants right now.

They are pushing wolves and we need to do everything we can to stop them before it starts. whether its 5 years or 10 years down the road we need to put the roadblocks in before its to late.

Why complicate an otherwise simple problem. Simply hold a special hunt every year and your problem is solved. It's a win-win situation with hunters happy and the state making money.

exactly eldorado. no need for wolves. hunters will pay $$$ to hunt where as wolves will eventually take there toll and lose $$$ for co.
CO is already struggling with the loses they h.ave incurred from nr hunters image when there wont be any elk for the nr to hunt than they will really lose money

The fix seem simple: throw in the wolves, ruin the ecomony, end hunting, end ranching, end COFWP, hault the way of life of thousands of people. Where's the problem guys? LMAO

No hunting on the Baca. From the Fish & Wildlife website:

"The Baca National Wildlife Refuge is currently closed to public access."

If you guys actually take 5 minutes to go read all of the alternatives you would learn that:

1. The FWS preferred alternative (the alternative they PREFER!!!) includes hunting to reduce the elk population and does not include a word about wolf reintroduction.

2. The word "wolf" appears ONE time in the ENTIRE document, in an alternative that is not PREFERRED, but also proposes to use hunters to reduce the elk population.

If you guys actually took 5 more minutes to send them a RESPECTFUL comment supporting their PREFERRED alternative, and requesting that they use hunters instead of wolves to reduce the elk population, you would do a world more good that spewing blather on a hunting forum.

The comment period ends February 24th.
