Here's some great taxidermy pics that Doug wanted to share.

Doug writes, "Finally received New Mexico free range Oryx I shot my first week of retirement last year from taxidermist.

It's a toss up as to my favorite mount as the full bodied mount lion pretty hard to beat.
No problem there both in same living room opposite each other so I can take my time to decide which I like better. He did a great job mounting it. It looks far better now than when I shot it. Was pretty dirty and scruffy looking living in the harsh environment of New Mexico desert. Nice stately and of course exotic looking .
Sorta like a chess piece being as it's placed on the octagon pedestal."

Nice, couple of questions,
Why the oak pedestal when your furniture is walnut and how in the heck does one retire from Taxidermy? Thought we just mount away till we die. Lol
