Drawing odds going down for antelope in 2021

It’s great to see the cut in tags (especially does) in units that have been hit hard by winterkill, drought, and/or poor fawn crop. Unfortunately draw odds may be tougher this coming season. With luck there will be a bunch of twins that survive this spring and summer with improved conditions

Not a big surprise for those of us that follow the pronghorn trends in Wyoming. Hopefully we have some favorable years and bounce back quick.

When we hunted antelope in 48 about 7-8 years ago, we came back with unfilled doe tags if you can believe that. It wasn't due to lack of effort either. There were simply that few goats and if you couldn't reach out and shoot 800 yards, you weren't going to get a shot if they spotted you first. It seems to have improved since. We haven't had a problem filling doe tags their since. However we only get drawn about 50% of the time.
