Dream hunt?

While waiting to get our dreams crushed, what is the dream hunt you’d like to do at this stage in life.

Mine has mostly been Mule Deer related, and G last year was pretty cool despite not punching a tag. Now, I would like to do an Idaho Rocky Mtn Sheep hunt. At 55 3/4, I’d like to do it solo in Central part of the state without too much competition. 165 or better personal limit. I know how tough that hunt would be mentally. I have 10 yrs to make this a reality.

Next no line is a 330+ bull, then a 160 class WT, and my last hurrah will be about any bullwinkle in my twilight yrs.

My son is moving to AK this month, so some of this may happen there, but for now my heart is still here. Also, I burned 14 pts in WY so the bull may come sooner, but I’m not gonna hold my breath for a new PR there but will know more after some scouting.

Idaho sheep has been my dream since I moved here 16 yrs ago. Still haven’t drawn and based on the odds of the tags I’ve been applying for I am 6 or more years overdue

In Idaho? There is one mule deer tag I want. Who knows, maybe this year. In general, dall sheep has been my dream since I was a kid in Alaska and my uncle would bring them by the house. I was too young before we moved to ever go. One day I can probably make that dream come true. Not as lofty as some guys dreams but that one’s tops for me . Who knows, maybe @SS! will take me on one

There is an elk tag in Southern Idaho I would love to have. Used to live down that way and big bulls seemed to be in every drainage while deer hunting.

For Idaho there is one Mule deer hunt that I really want and have been applying for. Maybe this will be my year. My body is too beat up from the military (17 surgeries and counting) to be able to sheep hunt in Alaska like I always wanted to but I would love to do a sheep hunt off the John Day river over in Oregon.
