Dubois deer

Drove through Dubois yesterday. Didn't have time to really look around, but here are a few bucks by the road. The big 3x4 is more mature, but the rest look relatively young. I'm sure there were a few bruisers nearby in cover, but that wouldn't be caught out in the open, in day light, unless a doe needed tended right then...

Taking it easy.

This young guy, was chasing a doe all over the place.

Tall and narrow.

Young one, no doubt with the illusion he'll get to breed all of those does.

The biggest of the lot. He was the only one that wouldn't tolerate me; quickly moving off into cover.

Blurry, but another view of him with another buck in the group.

Third buck in the group of three. He stayed tight with that doe.

Young and hopeful... He was in a different group of three bucks with two does. Unlikely he'll get his chance with other two bucks in the group.

Observing the observer.

Same deer, back to his snack.

I expect if one had some time to cover some area off the beaten path, one could find a few toads in that area this time of year.

Just with the camera, but it is a Panasonic FZ-35 with an 18x optical/35x digital zoom. A couple were maybe 150-200 yards out, but most were much closer. That wee little four point with all the does was the furthest out. The close up on him was zoomed in 35x with the digital zoom on top of the optical. Between the zoom and low light (it was dusk) some of the pics are pretty grainy.

Nice pictures thanks for posting them.

My wife had the 128-1 last year and where you saw the deer was pretty much where the deer were at. on the private.

I think they cut the tags in half this year maybe that will help the quality out.

Stay thirsty my friends
