e-bikes to be allowed on "non-motorized" trails

Cool. It's why I bought a class 2. Most of the time I ride on the closed roads I'm sharing them with quads anyway.

They're trying to save the planet.

Wow!

"No motorized vehicles" It doesn't seem that hard to understand to me.

I was pissed last year hunting the Wasatch front. I would leave plenty early, hike for an hour, and look back and see the lights coming from the e-bikes. They would leave 40 minutes later than me and still beat me up the ridge.

B.S.!

Now I won't be able to out hike the idiots in the duck marshes either.

I'm waiting for the single person drones to hit the market so I can booze cruise the canyons and herd the giants off private onto public and put my Instagram tag on it........Puffing on my E-Cig and wearing my Metal Mulisha flatty!

Gonna start up my own Youtubes channel called "Drones N Bones" for shed season too!

Watch out Gen Z!

Important footnote...

This doesn't apply to Forest Service as it's governed by Department of Agriculture and not Department of Interior which issued the opinion.

This only applies on Interior-managed land.

"It's time to revisit the widely accepted principle in the United States and Canada that game is a public resource."

Interesting point. I wondered why they listed National Parks but not national forest.

Because National Parks are managed by Interior, with BLM land. Forest Service is separate and managed by Agriculture, so this rule doesn't apply there..

That is awesome!
I will now be able to ride right to the top of Wyoming G, and H.
I will beat the horses up, I will be able to ride every ridge, climb every mountain...GREAT!

Oh wait, mine will not even climb as well as my pedal mountain bike.

I had hope for a minute.

That's the reality of it. It sounds a lot better than it is. e-bikes have their limit.

Sorry for the late response BJ, I just got back from helping out on a Youth Bull hunt on the North Slope.

The side panniers are rated at 40 lbs each side and the top rack is rated at 120 lbs for a total of 200 lbs.

I have eAssit biked out 1 cow elk on an old 2 track.

I did Not ride out I just pushed and used my Throttle assist when needed and for sure the brakes coming down steeper area's.

It's like most everything in life, some good value's and some not so good value's.

Just built and used one myself. I think that there is a lot of mis-information out there. We rode logging roads on ours, tried one trail. The fact is, a steep trail is very technical riding, not conducive to a heavy e-bike and a 20 lb. backpack with bow. After riding approximately a half-mile we turned around. This trail was by no means that bad compared to some. The area we hunted had hundreds of miles of logging roads, and we rode those, bugling off the canyons to attract bulls. All the while being silent. We could have driven most of those roads.

On a side-note. We did call in a grizzly bear to 30-40 yards on one of these roads. It was quite an experience and I was straddling my e-bike at the time. This was in Idaho.
