In yet another demonstration of liberal deceit, President Obama will break a campaign promise and sign a $410 billion budget bill laden with BILLION$ in lawmakers' pet projects - "Earmarks" - administration officials said. Taxpayers for Common Sense, a centrist watchdog group, has identified almost 8,600 specially sponsored "earmarks" totaling $7.7 billion dollars in the latest giveaway.


Does this bother any of you followers of the Messiah, Obama?

The smart money says that the 7 liberals on this site believe that those are NOT earmarks. CNN and MSNBC said they are not earmarks...so, they must be right.

Guys,

Earmarks are of little or no consquence in the overall picture because earmarks are a redherring arguement to keep you from understanding what the real issue is.

An earmark is just directed spending of spending that would have taken place anyway. The money is already budgeted and appropriated and available. The earmark just direct those funds to a pet project but rest assured that money was going to be spent one way or another.

I don't get worked up about earmarks because they do nothing to increase spending, I get worked up about spending because that is the real problem.
