Early snow ?

I had a friend hunt the early Rubies rifle hunt and they had a ton of snow, like 2 feet. What are you guys thoughts on how this will effect the early hunt harvest and the effect it will have on the late hunt? Will they move back up if they can? Did this storm hit the other units (6,7, ect.) hard also? Thanks

They'll kill allot of them with that amount of snow. 2 feet of snow, will also be tough hunting on the hunters. I wish I was hunting up there now. Make getting a big one easier!

Sorry to tell you but snow like that is common at very high elevations. It happens nearly every year.It doesnt stay long this time of year so it usually doesnt change the deer much.I live at the base of the Rubys and all we had was a skiff of snow down here. The cooler temps and weather does keep them up later in the morning so that should help your hunt some. Good luck.
