Elk hunting Idaho

LAST EDITED ON Oct-05-03 AT 07:21AM (MST)[p]I am going hunting in the Salmon unit. mostly in 21 and 21A does anyone have any knowledge of that area and some good advice for a couple of first time elk hunters. Oh yeah we are leaving this coming friday.

Sorry I don't know much about that area. I could tell you that the success average over the last few years for the Salmon B tag is around 15% and unit 21A has a slightly higher success rate on average when compared to unit 21. Make sure you have a good plan on how to deal with an elk after you get it down.

We have the plan for getting one out. It is the finding one and getting it down that we wil have to work on.Thanks for your help. If you think of anything let me know.
