Ok it almost that time of the year again. Who?s going ? Are we going to have a Monster Muleys both? Are we going to put some names with faces ? Let's try to keep this positive and not another SFW bashing post. I see a few of the MMers there every year.

We are coming from Idaho, I am bringing my daughter and a new hunter in her 50s. It will be a thrill for them and I enjoy seeing old friends and outfitters from the past.

I had a question about the expo tags that I thought you all might be able to answer for me. If you draw a expo tag, do you still have to pay the permit fee? or is it just the $5 application and if you draw you get the tag?

I will be at the expo this year. Hopefully I can make it when it's not a Saturday this time around.

Not going. I know big surprise. But OP asked to keep positive.

Couple things.

Support local, there are getting to be some good local spots for chow around SLC. Green Pig has a killer cheese steak. Red Iguana, etc.

Ask questions. Ask BHA why they are there supporting $fw, they differ on land. Ask them about where the money goes.

Ask the rest of the dudes who talk about "grip and grins" on podcasts and print, how they support shows that are basically grip and grins on steroids.

I don't think its unfair to challenge groups who 362 days a year talk about being anti things $fw supports, yet show up and scratch a check to them for floor space every year.

Last. If there is a gawd, please don't let Bess draw anything???????????????

I need to move to the Basin, those guys drew all the tags last year.

We've got Barbary tags in NM that weekend so I probably won't make it unless I can get there before we leave on Thursday. Too bad, it's a really good show.

Logan has 5 times as many people as Vernal, but 5 times as many Vernal guys drew tags last year than Logan guys. Of course we don't know how many people applied, but it's Logan's turn this time. You probably shouldn't even make the trip, give somebody else a chance

20 years in Cache Valley and never drew an Expo tag. First year I moved south I drew. I figured this all along but just never had proof until last year.
