Fall Bear hunting

I am headed back to montana for a week to try and fill my tag. Should have filled it in the spring but things just didn't come together, but did see a good amount of bears. The spring hunt was my first bear hunt and quickly learned to find green grass. I have heard that in the fall you need to find the berry patches, I was hunting southwest montana, I am not looking for anyones spots just looking for some info on where people usually see bears in the fall and if there is a better location to check out.

look for berries. the bears i hunt hang out in the creek bottoms in the fall and eat both elderberries and raspberries.
