Not a surprise, but still pisses me off. They can do anything against R's or conservatives and then after the dust settles, "my bad," and there's a new president.

Have we found an actual person yet who says they would have voted for trump instead of biden if twitter hadn’t censored hunters laptop?

It was 10% of something so it shouldn’t be that hard.

And remind me again what we’re going to find when we finally get to look at it? A list would be helpful.

For the record, I was not manipulated by tweeter. And if you were you are prolly a dipchit anyway.

Are you guys actually implying that law enforcement should NOT be able to ”meet with” Big Media about information trafficked on their sites?

Just for fun, lets consider a few questions:

Do we know if it’s still happening?
Do we know if this censorship happened during the trump admin?
Do we know if the source of the hunter dick pick was rudy and bannon?
Do we know why they would want in on twitter during an election cycle?
And finally, is it “freedom of speech” to publish pornograpic pics of someone without their consent?

Old Elon has a tiger by the tail. What’s he up to?

It shows Uncle Joe, "the big guy" taking bribes from foreign countries

Does it? Rudy has allegedly had the files for YEARS (how the post got them I believe). Waiting for the right time to spring them I suppose.

To be un-censored around election time I predict, or this drama will lead to a d landslide. Better be a happy ending.

And there might need to be a little better proof than there was for the stolen election.

Well, we'll never know right? But smaller scandals have been blamed for election losses in close contests. Hillary surely blamed Comey for her loss (among other things).

It's obvious that some people would have voted differently had there been a "scandal". 10%? Hardly likely. But 1%? Maybe. It isn't obvious to me that it would have changed the final result.

HikeHunt61, the 10% was the payoff for "the big guy". The laptop from hell contains information on pay to play grifting done by the Biden crime family. The FBI had this laptop for over 3 years.

The dic pics, Whore porn and drug use are all just distractions. Even the dark relationship he had with his dead brother's minor child is a distraction.

Corruption at the highest levels brought to light. All because Hunter video recorded his illicit behaviour.

"The smartest guy I know" said Joe Biden

It's not your reading. It is Bluehole's writing that sucks
10% was the number quoted by junkie for the number of people who would have changed their vote. It’s where I pointed out 87.3% of all statistics are pulled out of a rw nutjobs azz.

So it turns out your comprehension sucks afterall. Still. (y)

Hey, did you get a chance to look up the answer to those questions? You might have to venture out of the Vortex of TRUTH.;)

Here they are again for your convenience.
Post in thread 'FBI and DNI met weekley with Twitter censors'

Let us know what you learn.

I’ll put you down for guessing that hunters laptop says the “big guy gets 10%”. You think that’ll be enough to put trump over the top?

Not much of a list, but it’s a start. And for the record, if biden did the stuff that’s allegedly on hunters laptop, he should get an adjoining cell to trumps.

10% for the Big Guy
Lotta folks placing a lotta faith in that harddrive.

I just struggle with the idea that rudy and bannon saw the urgency to get the hunter dick pic out there in the trumpsters’ spank banks, but are just waiting for the right time to give us the good stuff.

Here is what Comer (soon to be chair of house ovrsight committee) said in the NYP:

”My goal is at the end of the investigation there will be a legislative fix,” Comer said. “It is so murky, what Joe Biden, his son, and his brother [James Biden] were doing. You ask if it’s illegal. I don’t know. But I know it should be.”

Uh Oh, I can recognize a crab walk. If the Republicans of the trump wing of the party are true to form, they have overplayed their hand by whipping the loyalists into a frenzy yet again.

Have you even considered the possibility that this is just trump f#ck!ng you again?

I’m buckled in prepared whichever way it goes. Are you?

OK, I'll bite- what does Trump have to do with the laptop business?

Beyond that- stupid politicians can't help themselves. Left and Right must have their pound of flesh. Both Trump investigation/trials were a huge waste of time. So will the Hunter investigation that is sure to come. So, being what it is, popcorn and beer is the only sane approach.

Besides his surrogates peddling the hunter files to the media, trump seems to an enthusiastic supporter of getting hunters dick pics out there to as many people as he can.

And his very quest for a third impeachment hangs on hunters laptop. Besides that, nothing.

I miss the good old ”lock her up!” days.

Google New Federal State of China for the purported source of the hunter files. Careful, you’ll be descending into a left-wing vortex. Skepticism advised.

If nothing was there. Then why did the 3 letter agencies react so strongly to suppress the story in 2020?

Over 50 intelligence officers signed a bogus letter saying the lap top was misinformation. The FBI has been meddling in our U.S. elections. Setting the Biden Crime family's corruption aside. We have become a turd world, banana republic when the deep state is allowed to meddle in our "free & fair" elections.

Stolen, Rigged election. FJB

I hope trump and joe get adjoining cells :)
Might make for a good HBO comedy series. Clinton and Giuliani could be their lawyers. Maxwell right across the hall. Hunter and Don Jr would share a cell and be running cigarette rackets to keep from being molested. The WHOLE prison could house just politicians and their cronies. Wait... maybe that's not as funny as I thought...

I agree that the censorship aspect is a bigger deal than hunters dick pics.

And I have a hard time believing that if there were something criminal on the laptop, it wouldn’t be out there already. It would be criminal to withhold such evidence wouldn’t it?

But nothing would surprise me.

First article I've read that reasonably lays out how the cooperation between the DOJ and social media may actually be a crime. Oh- and it's the WSJ, not Breitbart...

An opinion piece……..”Mr. Hamburger teaches at Columbia Law School and is CEO of the New Civil Liberties Alliance.”

As to content, a whole lotta maybes and what if’s, ending with the acknowledgment that the application of a statute crafted in response to KKK recruitment is iffy.

If applied, just more bad news for trump and the former trump admin folks who participated in the practice ……

This exchange demonstrates everything that is wrong with our political discourse. Taibbi's first statement makes it sound like the FBI isn't chasing bad guys (which is wrong of course). Lieu jumps on that and avoids Taibbi's excellent point about the social media operation.

So... nothing gained. Just lots of hot internet waves.

Wait- what? The FBI PAID twitter? JSMN...
For “legal process response”. Damn, I wish I could have been paid that time Clinton came to town and ruined my business for a week.

What should it cost to keep kiddie porn and such off the internet?

I have an idea...

How about whatever the laws and regulations are- the business's are required to follow them, and they can be charged or sued for not doing so?

But we pay them? AND have the FBI tell them things MIGHT be wrong and thus they should take action? This is Orwellian...

The laws that pop culture dipchits pass? So it’s back to founder being responsible for the garbage I spew here?

We should ask him what he thinks.

And I’ve said time and again I’m personally in support of no censorship- as long as we liberalize libel and slander laws so than liars are held responsible for what they say.

And we could have a grievance committee to hear all our petty complaints. Maybe an expedited Kangaroo Court with a bunch of political appointees to keep it fair?

Like I said, we‘re overdue for a lawyer stimulus bill.

I highly doubt any actual laws or regulations are being broken here. As for individuals, well, I suppose. If child porn were being spread, I'm sure he'd remove and report it.

I get your point on libel and slander laws. But they already exist, and I don't know if "looser" is better.

The donut shop successfully sued the college that called them racists. Seems like the system worked. The fact the college used some social media platform (or whatever vehicle they communicated on) to spew their slanderous message is irrelevant.

As for opening up laws to allow suits against election deniers, or lockdown deniers, or pick your fav denier, I say no. Same goes for unflattering commentary about some President's son. If it's truly slanderous, they can sue today. Sometimes they are plain wrong, sometimes they happen to be right. We're all big boys and girls and can handle the fringe commentary.

We simply need to ignore stupid, follow the copious laws that do exist, keep the government out of the monitor and control mode, and everything will be just fine.

Folks here have spent AT LEAST the last 2 years bemoaning the power and influence of Big Media, whether its the right or left crying about censorship. You think everything will be ok if left to self-regulate? :ROFLMAO:

Hey, but it’s not all bad. I learned today that at Walmart - where you have to show ID to buy paint or WD-40 - you can grab all the powder you want and cruise right thru.

God bless America. And Walmart for having 4350.

Our govt. paid twitter $3.4 million to censor us, that we know about. How much did they pay google, facebook, youtube etc.?

Meanwhile in the gargantuan $1.7 trillion, 4155 page omnibus spending bill, there is $10 million for "freedom of expression" in Bangladesh & $90 million for "global internet freedom of expression" Ironic

It also has $410,000,000 for border security for Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia & Oman but expressly prohibits U.S. Customs & Border patrol funding from being used to improve our U.S. border security.

Everyone should read NC Rep. Dan Bishop's twitter account where he's currently going through the omnibus spending bill. You might need a large barf bag

Yup.

Look HH, I think we basically agree on the mission; we’re just debating the tactics.

Until I understand better what the payments were for, I DO NOT support any kind of idealogical or financial relationship between media and the “deep state”. And NEVER for political purposes.

I’m hoping we learn these are compensation for some kind of data filtering (spying  ) services. I think it’s reasonable for law enforcement to pursue trafficking (humans, contraband, wildlife, and and of dozens of other reasons) and extortion crimes. After all, paying damages is a well accepted conservative practice ;)

Worst case it’s what the trump party wishes for - systemic corruption that will usher in an era of stolen civil liberties that will make the Patriot Act sound like The Pledge of Allegiance. Not good.

In any case we’ll learn soon enough.

Ya, I'm just looking at the history of FBI involvement. I think they are 90% doing what we want them to do and need them to do. It's the 10% where they have shown bad actions (like Steele Dossier, and now the "remove the Biden laptop stuff- it's obviously disinfo") that needs curing. They are too powerful to allow them to make guesses and then apply pressure.

I also agree that we don't need more Patriot Act. But Biden's "disinformation czar" would have been equally as bad. Both sides love control...

Blue you sure like to push the kiddie porn angle. From what I have read there is more on lap top involving INCEST. You are the only echo chamber writing about kiddie porn. Have you been looking at it? Just so you know that would be illegal. Nothing in the New York Times article was putting out there had any kiddie porn. We can only guess were you get your misinformation from.

The laptop is about business dealing with foreign countries and foreign business. Some of these business directed controlled by the CCP and Ukraine. Did you know there is a war in Ukraine? Could Obummer and the Biden crime family have been grabbing funds from the Russians neighbor? Helped ignite the conflict? More about the $86K a month for the "smartest man" Joe knows.

I identify as a conspiracy theorist. MY PRONOUMS ARE I/ TOLD/ YOU / SO

I disagree with your figures. More like 90% wrong. Biden already has a "Disinformation Czar" It is what the FBI has been doing all along. They are the source of misinformation. The FBI is the democrats puppet.

The FBI publicly discredited FACTUAL information. Claiming the Biden laptop was Russian propaganda. In 2020 the most watched cable news host Tucker Carlson ran a story about the laptop. Interviewed Hunter's business partner Tony Bobulinski. CNN, MSNBC. All of Blue's heros in the media claimed Tucker was spreading diss-information. Called him and others a "puppet of Putin".

Who do you think told the mainstream media outlets to say this? Yes, it was the FBI using all of the media to disseminate lies and miss truths. Interfering with a U.S. election. Leslie Stahl of 60 minutes, interviewing Trump prior to the election would not let him speak of the lap top. It is "unverified" she claimed. During the debate Chrissy Wallace played the same game. No discussion of the laptop. "unverified".

Then the letter from the 51 intelligence officers. This is shameful. The deep fake state has lost it's way.

Interview of Tony Bobulinski. Why does this whistleblower not get the same fawning the CNN's and other mainstream outlets gave Vindman?

Bobulinski received his commission as an officer at the Officer Training Command in Newport, Rhode Island, in August 1995 and left active duty in December 1999, the Navy said. He was listed in the Navy reserves until June 2006.

Relax, if you get your way you’ll still be able to get whatever depravity you desire. But don’t be the poster boy for the proscribed degrees of consanguinity.

Back to twitter, it appears the US military made use of the Media-Police-Military Industrial Complex.

I’m reminded of the Weezer Sweater song. Keep pulling that thread.

This guy is a moron. I’m only glad my business partners aren’t that dumb :ROFLMAO:

Speaking of business records, are you looking forward to those tax returns as much as I am? I can’t wait to see all the crabwalking when we get to see how big a loser the poor workin class hero really is.

My prediction? His tax returns will show he is a liar and a cheat - just like EVERY SINGLE OTHER TIME - and that he ****** all of us honest taxpayers in the neck like he has done everyone else.

Wager?

Yes. Take it easy, don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy.

Of course the pentagon is pushing their war machine on Twatter, Facecrack, Gaggle and etc.. Same reason ole Lizzy Cheny has her panities in a wad over #45. Lot's of money to be made selling weapons to these countries. Even when these countries can't afford the weapons. The money can be had from dollars collected from the US tax payers. ie: Ukraine.

I‘ve stood on a corner in Winslow.

Your damn right it was. This was an attempted cou from the FBI. The FBI is part of the Executive branch. The Executive Branch consists of the agencies and departments that take direction from the President and their cabinet. Do you recall James Comey the disgraced former FBI director? Laughing about how he "set up" General Flynn at the start of Trump's presidency? "I wouldn't have done this to the Obama administration."

Ya know if the frikin mainstream media could actually provide news. Investigate and come out and tell the public what they told us is now known as being lies. The reason is all about the money follow the money. We no know the FBI was paying Twatter directly to play along with suppressing factual information. Labeling it as misinformation.

From NBC more FBI criminal activities. Directed towards the president of the United States. Get's a slap on the wrist.

A former FBI lawyer was sentenced Friday to probation, avoiding a prison sentence, for falsifying a claim made to sustain government surveillance on a key figure in the Mueller investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Kevin Clinesmith admitted last August that he had altered an internal FBI email in the course of seeking a court's permission to continue government surveillance of Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser. The warrant for approval from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court has been a flashpoint for conservative critics of the FBI and the Mueller investigation.

Page himself addressed the judge before the sentence was imposed, saying the disclosures that he was being investigated had resulted in death threats.
"This manufactured scandal and associated lies caused me to adopt the lifestyle of an international fugitive for years," Page told the hearing, conducted by video conference because of the pandemic. "I often have felt as if I had been left with no life at all. Each member of my family was severely impacted."

Oh, and for the record the attempted “coup” was on January 6, 2021.

You’re swirling the bowl with a liar, scumbag, cheat, and most germaine - a loser.

I have no problem with anyone going to jail if they are found guilty of crimes. ANYONE.

Thats pretty much my only point in any of this. Well, that and that all of this is pretty much self inflicted by lil donnie.

Maybe in prison he will have plenty of time to reflect on the consequences of being an ass-hole to everyone. Most people are smart enough not to **** on the FBI. Eventually someone will spit in your food.

MARK R. WEAVER , FORMER DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL OF OHIO
ON 12/21/22 AT 8:31 PM EST

For the past few weeks, journalists have been reporting on what they've found in the "Twitter Files"—thousands and thousands of documents they were given access to by Twitter's new owner and CEO, the billionaire Elon Musk. The revelations have been astonishing and deeply troubling, exposing solid evidence of collusion between top executives at the FBI and their cozy counterparts at Twitter.

FBI leadership and Twitter censors conferred constantly about how to shut down political speech based on its content, confirming the suspicions of, well, anyone who was paying attention. And it proves without a doubt that over the past few years, countless Americans have undergone a real violation of their First Amendment rights.

The First Amendment mandates that government can't abridge—meaning limit or censor—speech based on its content. Even if attempting to advance the noblest of causes, government actors must not collide with this constitutional guardrail. The Constitution simply isn't optional. Government officials must treasure it like gold and defend it like hearth and home.

This is the part in the play when some rowdy voice shouts from the cheap seats that "Twitter is a private corporation, it's not government." True enough, but the government can't enlist a private citizen or corporation to undertake what the Constitution precludes it from doing.

The U.S. Supreme Court settled that decades ago with what's known as the law of agency, which allows a "principal" to assign an agent to do something on the principal's behalf. It's a limited transfer of power. And what the government is forbidden from doing it is also forbidden from subcontracting to an agent.

Thus, when Twitter acquiesced to the FBI's urging, it essentially became an agent and of the government, and then wrongfully acquiesced to censor the speech of American citizens.

The evidence is now all out there: The FBI handed out Top Secret security clearances to Twitter employees, ostensibly without the weeks of extensive background checking that I and other top Justice Department officials had to undergo.

Then, FBI officials created a special, secure online portal for Twitter staff, where the two sides could secretly exchange information about who was saying what on the platform and how that speech could be squelched. In this virtual "war room," the FBI made dozens of requests to censor political speech. Twitter chirpily complied.

Talking daily with government agencies through a secure government channel, having a government security clearance, and carrying out orders from the government is what an agent of government does. And that's what Twitter did.

This government-big tech partnership violated the First Amendment, a classic deprivation of civil rights.

The Biden administration and others casually dismiss this troubling arrangement as a rationale to somehow prevent election "misinformation." Yet misinformation is in the eye of the beholder. And since the U.S. Supreme Court has determined that speech in and around elections has more First Amendment protection than any other, government agents meddling in it will almost always be acting unconstitutionally. Indeed, lying about an election may be wrong, but it is fully protected speech. The minute Twitter started cooperating with the FBI, it needed to therefore be protected on the platform.

At the end of the day, it is up to the governed—not the government—to decide what's misinformation. The FBI has zero legal authority to stop it, and by using Twitter as its agent, it violated the free speech rights of the people who were censored.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) issued a brash response to the “Twitter Files” tranche released Monday, but refused to address the central claim alleged in the reporting — that the bureau guided and cultivated company employees to censor the New York Post‘s reporting on the Hunter Biden “laptop from hell” series ahead of the 2020 election.

The Bureau claimed the authentic emails released by Elon Musk “show nothing more” than normal day-to-day operations of the agency, and that the release of the correspondences were “conspiracy theorists” propagating “misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency.” The FBI did not specify in its response who it was referring to as “conspiracy theorists,” nor did it provide any explanation of what materials were “misinformation.”

The full statement reads:

“The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries. As evidenced in the correspondence, the FBI provides critical information to the private sector in an effort to allow them to protect themselves and their customers. The men and women of the FBI work every day to protect the American public. It is unfortunate that conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency.”
Emails released this week by Musk and reported by journalist Michael Shellenberger revealed that the censorship of the Post‘s reporting on the Biden family business scheme was an operation led by the FBI, in conjunction with Twitter. Shellenberger’s reporting revealed that federal agents “discredited factual information about Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings both after and *before* The New York Post revealed the contents of his laptop on October 14, 2020″ — working with top management at Twitter to censor and disparage the Post‘s reporting. Shellenberger’s reporting showed that the narrative that the Post‘s 2020 reporting was part of an alleged “hack-and-leak” attack by “Russia” was conceived by the FBI — a narrative that was also adopted by legacy media as justification for their refusal to broadcast the story.

According to a federal subpoena originally published by the Post, while the FBI was alleging the “laptop from hell” reporting was based on “hacked” files, the FBI itself was in possession of the exact same materials, which it had since December 2019 and received from the same original source as the Post.

Shellenberger wrote that “during all of 2020, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies repeatedly primed Yoel Roth to dismiss reports of Hunter Biden’s laptop as a Russian ‘hack and leak’ operation,” referring to the Head of Trust and Safety and one of Twitter’s chief censors — despite the fact that the FBI had the Biden scion’s laptop since 2019, and amid Roth allegedly pushing back that “Twitter executives *repeatedly* reported very little Russian activity” on the platform.

Shellenberger reported that, after the election, Twitter deputy counsel and former senior member of the FBI, Jim Baker, reached out to thank the FBI for its successful effort to censor and discredit the New York Post‘s reporting.

“In the end, the FBI’s influence campaign aimed at executives at news media, Twitter, & other social media companies worked: they censored & discredited the Hunter Biden laptop story. By Dec. 2020, Baker and his colleagues even sent a note of thanks to the FBI for its work,” Shellenberger wrote.

In its response, the FBI did not address any of the allegations from the Twitter Files reporting, only claiming that it represents “examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements.”

So the FBI claims that they have been doing this with all of legacy media. "For a long time." Just because they have been violating the constitution, breaking the law for a long time does not make it legal.

Suddenly everyone who was a statistician just a year ago is a constitutional scholar.

It’s obviously the status quo. Glad to see you finally caught up.

A new release of the Twitter Files provides further evidence that the company was aware that claims of “Russian bots” on the platform, made by Democrats and the media, were wildly exaggerated or outright fabrications. Nevertheless, Twitter continued to indulge the Democrat and mainstream media-pushed conspiracy theory in public.

As Twitter attempted to placate Democrats on the hill with an appeasement strategy, humoring claims about Russian influence they knew were false, Twitter officials complained that the strategy amounted to “feeding congressional trolls.”

“Twitter warned politicians and media the[y] not only lacked evidence, but had evidence the accounts weren’t Russian – and were roundly ignored,” wrote journalist Matt Taibbi, who released the latest batch of the Twitter Files.

One prominent example highlighted by Taibbi is when former Congressman Devin Nunes submitted his classified memo to the House Intelligence Committee, exposing FBI abuses in using FISA courts to approve surveillance against individuals linked to Trump, and the critical role played by the discredited Steele Dossier.

Democrats including Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), along with Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) claimed that Russian bots were boosting the Nunes report through the hashtag “#ReleaseTheMemo.”

“We find it reprehensible that Russian agents have so eagerly manipulated innocent Americans,” wrote Blumenthal, in a letter to Jack Dorsey, then CEO of Twitter.

3.Twitter officials were aghast, finding no evidence of Russian influence: “We are feeding congressional trolls.” “Not any…significant activity connected to Russia.” “Putting the cart before the horse assuming this is propaganda/bots.”
