JUST WONDERING WHAT HUNTING UNITS ARE INVOLVED IN THE FIRE SPREAD AROUND FLAG ???? I HAVE WATCHED PLANE AFTER PLANE LEAVING FRESNO CALIFORNIA CARRYING FIRE RETARDANT TO ARIZONA. HOPE ITS OUT SOON!!!!!!..............................................YD.

Also around Prescott. Not sure which unit there. Saw lots of smoke today as I was coming south out of Flagstaff.

****! First off I hope everyone that lives there who’s affected by this fire is safe and doesn’t lose their home. That’s most important. I have a 7E late rifle elk tag this year. Not too worried yet but I hope they get it under control soon.

Side note: one would think this fire is good for getting rid of more pinyon juniper so the grasslands come back?

That wind is legit. I was driving back to Oregon from AZ with a empty snowmobile trailer. I though I was going to have to pull over and fill the floor with rocks to keep the trailer from blowing over.

Dude, really? People’s lives got burned up (n)
its the chance you take liveing in a forested/ wilderness area besides im sure the goverment will build more houses for those in their witness protection program that they have hideing there that lost their taxpayer funded houseing
we live with major forest fires every year here in montana ,if our ranch burns to the ground tomorrow we have no one to blame , its the chance we took 31 yrs ago when we built our home where we did
flagstaff has grown since i was last there 17 yrs ago

I used to live in timberline subdivision, foothills burned and house flooded after I moved in 2006. I miss 300 days of Sun a year and clear clean air. My wife hated the wind. Mt. Elden burned before I moved there in 1998 I always wondered what that fire must have looked like from Route 66. Flag gets some crazy weather!

Photo’s from that fire in 1977. The Radio Fire. I remember it well!
