Found! Hounds

Found two hounds while grouse hunting. No transmitter collars on them. One dog had a collar but no tags or identification on it. They are skin and bones. One wouldn't let me catch him the other is caught.

If you are missing, or hell even want a dog, I have one and I know where the other is.

Where did you find them? Someone on here may live around there and know the owners of those dogs.

Off the highway in the Strawberry area.

That's odd, on the old dwr site there was a gentleman that said he found a black and tan in the same area but left it with an owner of a store up there somewhere. I wonder if someone has just dumped a bunch of dogs there to get rid of them.

I'll tell you what's a lot more common than a guy just dumping dogs off on the mountain...

A tree hugger finding them first, realizing what they are being used for, and yanking the collars off them so the guy can't track or find his dog.

They think they are doing the dogs a favor by "setting them free" and that way they won't be able to kill anything.

I'd bet on tree huggers before I'd bet on someone just dumping them.
