You may be right about us or you may not be. Your just guessing. Difference is we know you’re a clown because you’re dumb enough to post this garbage and too ignorant to understand what’s wrong with it. Pathetic
I appreciate your comment, again. Thank you and have a great season!

Steven
The video of your brothers bull hunt I don’t find anything wrong with. We have all missed shots and had buck/bull fever. He made up for it the next day and congrats on a solid bull to him.

The goat hunt was a different story for me. I respect everyone’s right to hunt how they want. It just seemed to me that the “hunter” wasn’t prepared for the hunt/tag he drew at all.

Please correct me if I’m wrong but I noticed it seemed he wasn’t even carrying his own rifle most of the time. What caliber was the rifle? Seems like he had some trouble with the shot angle and distance also. Probably some goat fever also.
Regarding the comment about not shooting the goat again I can understand wanting it to come off that ledge it was on. Although as a guide once the animal laid down I think it was your job to encourage the hunter to put it down for good.

Was the hunter in good enough shape to climb up to his goat?

I will congratulate you and the guides on a good safe recovery from a nasty spot and to your guide who carried it out whole that’s pretty impressive.

The only positive comment on this thread comes from a Californian……… imagine that socialism/communism does work!??

Totally joking, but all joking aside.

I don’t see any issue with the brothers bull hunt. Hell I have missed easier shots then that, not by that far, but missed none the less.

With the goat hunt. Steven, I understand the “job” of a guide. But I also understand it’s my responsibility to ensure a clean death for the animal. And that includes telling my hunter not to shoot when the situation/conditions do not present a clean kill or a timely/safe recovery.

If it were myself in that situation, which I have been in similar, and some on here know of them, I personally would have ascended to that animal, to atleast get him opened and cooled. It also would have given me a chance to look at routes and such for recovery the next day.

But truly if my hunter would have missed those first two shots, I would have called it and made a play the next day.

I am not a registered guide, I could become one easy enough, but I “guide” (help) multiple people every year on hunts from antelope to moose and everything else I can out of love of the experience. 100% free!

And as a courtesy to myself, the hunter and the game. I have rescinded my assistance due to capabilities of the hunter, both physical and other abilities.

In my opinion it appears you should have possibly done the same on the goat hunt.

Your camera work 'aint the problem. Better cameras will not change your bad judgement. The videos you are making are detrimental to promoting your business. Shooting a long haired goat in the late afternoon and letting it lay all night with it's guts in should be against the law. I am pretty sure the meat was sour. If it was, I would think that could reasonably be construed as wasting wild game. You are the guide. To shoot or not to shoot is your call, not the hunter.

All LRO and it’s owner is doing right now is being happy that these threads have driven traffic to their YouTube videos.

I haven’t watched the hunt videos, but you all are helping him out in ways you can’t imagine! (And it’s not with the advice or lectures he’s getting…)

He will get a $27 check in the mail and a decrease in business for the videos. He isn’t the one winning here.

LRO can you post the unedited version of the elk hunt for us? There were more shots taken at that elk than the video showed correct? My software shows it was cut multiple times.

I’m lost too. Musta been some deletin going on.

All the best threads eventually end up in the trash can anyway.

It’s not just about what YouTube will pay him, per se. I don’t know the guy, and I’m sure the actions in his videos are as bad as suggested. You’re still driving traffic to him, and that will result in a net positive for him. I didn’t know LRO even existed before these threads. Neither did many others. And those algorithms pick up on even small trends pretty quickly.

I really don’t care if you want to bash the guy. Go ahead and bash. Just know your bashing may not have the impact that you think it does.

98.6% say otherwise
I ran the calculations

If I wanted to make money from YouTube I'd take my clothes off, sit in a bathtub full of sour milk and sing church hymns ? But, I appreciate everyone's comments, suggestions and even the bashing. In hindsight we can all make better decisions, look at situations more differently, plan out an outcome better, etc. I am my biggest critic. But, you all point out good things, so I can only hope to apply everyone's suggestions into future videos and hopefully y'all will see things in a different light. Your passion is inspiring and your grit is respectable! I appreciate all of you, and hope you have success in your future hunts! I am a student, so I am always listening and willing to learn!!

ITs pretty sad to see all you internet warriors out there talking so much trash that it could fill a land fill. What Steven is doing is nothing worse that any of the other big names out there and yet you are being so distasteful in your comments. IT so sad that all you so called elite hunters are so perfect at what you do. Come on guys, let it go. You dont like what or how he does it? Great, dont watch.

Yes, I know Steve. He is a great guy. Would give the shirt off his back to save you life if he had to. IS his videos perfect? No, far from it. He will get better with time and experience. Have any of you watch Ryan Hatches early Muley crazy videos? HORRIBLE, but fun to watch.

It makes me sick to see how you treat another hunter and outdoorsman like this. Come on guys, we can do better than that. And yes, I am sure Steven will do better also. We all have to learn and start somewhere. Make some encouragement ctritics, not castration comments.

Be better!

This guy is the next Ryan Hatch?! Jeez ?‍♂️

Homer better pack a lunch. He will have a field day with Robiland's post.
Go for it. This is not what this sight is about. So if it makes you feel better and makes you a better hunter and outdoorsman, than go for it.

This is EXACTLY what a hunting forum is about. LRO is a joke. It is plain as day on video. You sir, are trying to justify it because he is your buddy. Not going to work. Just watch the goat video alone and see the level of stupidity in just that one video alone. If you can justify that just based on your friendship, you are nuts. As they say, birds of a feather...
Blame the hunter all you want for being inexperienced in taking those shots, but the guide is 100% to blame for allowing it to happen. No other explanation.

I bet you are a Vet?

I will rail on this guy all day long. Don’t post videos that give hunters a black eye especially in YouTube.
And try to use the Vet card to get away with it. My 71 year old father served a couple years in Vietnam. I bet he hasn't mentioned it twice.

And all of you try not to act like this and give OTHER hunters a black eye. We are all in the same boat. Dont be "THAT GUY".

What you guys keep doing is just as bad as what he has done. So, keep it up if you want to give us all a bad name.

This is the difference between vets of yesterday and today. My uncle is a Colonel and pilot, and my grandfather a pilot. Both many tours that would shake the shiit out of our light duty ones of today. But that isn’t the topic so I will not detract anymore

Nope, this is a hunting forum where generally hunters go. This is not the readily accessible YouTube forum that millions see the **** show that he puts on.

Thank you for your thoughts I will take them into consideration thank you Robbie

Don't feed me that crap that he is no worse than any of the other big names out there. I have known and been involved with several outfitters over many years. I have never seen any of them do the things he does. It pisses me off to see someone shoot an animal and leave it until tommorow to go gut it. I know he would not admit it but I'm pretty sure the meat was sour.

You've missed the point. The point is that when you're in the public spotlight, image is everything.

This isn't about the uproar the "keyboard elite hunters" have, it's the perception the non-hunting public has...

Yup, don’t give me a bad name by representing the hunting community with “anti trash.” Be tactful in your approach when broadcasting what we as hunters do and quit sacrificing the sport for a chance to make an extra buck off youtube.
