Good Crimper

I don’t usually crimp. I checked my bullet reactions in the Varminter ARs and it looks like they move a little during the cycling so I put a real light crimp and will see if that’s enough. I normally hate crimping. I bought a new crimping die from Lyman and it’s good. It kind of makes crimping fun. If you guys need a crimping die, check them out. Stainless makes it look pretty too.

If you are looking for good accuracy, I hope you are also trimming your brass so that all be a consistent length. Other wise your crimp will be tighter on longer cases and not have a consistent bullet pull.

I had to trim them. I had two different lots of Lake City, one was LC 10 and the other was LC 6. Both had a few in there over 1.750, so I trimmed them down to 1.742. That could be the reason I enjoyed or thought it was fun, all were the same length and felt real good in the press.
