I've had this fear that this whole situation was a little too good to be true but an official B&C scorer out of Meeker, Co. confirmed it is not a dream. 21 13/16" official score. He was a tad over 7'6" and 15-20 years old.

The biggest trophy is I was lucky enough to be able to take him with my 7 year old daughter right by my side and have a pose' of kids and family around to be able to make memories with. South East Utah bear.

Thanks for following along!

Need to get a name tag for him that reads "Bruiser". Well done.

'Course, you can always call him "Old Ephraim, Jr"...

Thank you all very much.

I didn't weigh him as he was skinned, quartered, and packed out. I know this number is the most over used number when bears are talked about, and I don't use it lightly (pardon the pun) but I know he was north of 400 lbs with no fat.

Here is a picture of him on the bait a couple days before I took him.

Here?s a photo that shows his bulk. He really had VERY little fat. I would love to have seen how big he'd be in early November.

Thanks again, and happy hunting!

That hump on his back does make him look like a grizz. (almost). You shot the last of his kind in Utah.:) Congrats on a great bear.
