Gunnison Basin 3rd Season Buck

I finally decided to cash in my 21 Colorado deer points. I had originally planned on hunting the NW corner of the state, but in 21 years, things changed a bit. I had hoped for snow and winter weather, but I got sun instead. I had a great hunt and a good experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

It was good talking to you guys, ( after I found out I wasn’t competing with you) this buck showed up close to where you saw a buck but couldn’t tell if it was good or not.

I saw 6 mature bucks besides the one I shot, saw one that was over 30” but had no height at all , couldn’t tell if he was broken or just bad genes
