I think it may have something to do with the decreased use of oil and the current exodus of money out of the oil futures market.
Either that or the President pushed his easy button and dropped the world price for oil. You know Chavez and Iminjihad in Iran just can't wait to do GWB's bidding.

you are right on. simple economics. if the demand for it isnt there the prices will go down even though the storms on coming in.
