This bull didn’t make it back to the winter range this year. Friend found him dead on the rutting grounds with a brown bear sleeping on him. He was old so no telling what took him out. Here’s a video I slapped together of watching him last winter waiting to shed. Too long of a video but I cut out some of the good stuff and it’s still too long. Fast forward to end just to see the antlers.
I enjoy the challenge of trying to pick up both sides over hunting them any day of the week. There were quite a few others after this bull that winter. Weather and wolves moved them around but in the end I was lucky enough to pick up both sides. Good times out there with Nugget and Thunder.
