I’m looking for a deer hunt. Muley or white tail. I’d prefer a mule deer hunt but I’m not opposed to a Whitetail hunt. Are there DIY options? Any recommendations on guides? Would love to hear what y’all have seen or heard. Thanks

If you aren’t a Canadian resident there aren’t any options to DIY. You are a non-resident alien and must have a guide or resident host.

You might look at Saskatchewan Big Buck Adventures. I hunted there a decade ago with the previous owner but don’t know anything about the current owner but it’s a good area. It’s for whitetails.

I have had a hunt booked with Carter Outfitters in Alberta for two years and haven’t been able to go due to COVID. You can kill a whitetail and a mule deer but mostly whitetail. I haven’t been there but have talked to some positive references.

Most Canadian outfitters will already be booked for 2022 so you are probably looking at 2023.

South Dakota is still open I think for West River Muley and Whitetail.
Standing Rock Res is a option too.
